Opinion Archive

Opinion was a weekly journal which ran from 1960–1983 (with some interruptions during the Emergency). Of the thousand-odd issues within this time-span, I have been able to collect and digitise about a hundred scanned copies, which are indexed on this page. These have been made available from the personal family collections of Rani Day, S. Prabhala and B. Venkatappiah. I am actively seeking more issues to digitise, and would love to hear from anybody who has them.

The scanned issues are hosted in the Internet Archive, which also provides a user-friendly index here. Clicking on any of the links below will open up the corresponding page on the Internet Archive, from which the issue can be viewed and downloaded.

The first item on this page is a "mini-index" of all the issues currently available. Clicking on any of these issues will take you to the relevant issue, from where you will be able to see a complete Table of Contents. Alternatively, you can go straight to the list of issues.

Use "Ctrl-F" to search through the entire set of Tables of Contents. For instance, typing "Noorani" will return articles by A. G. Noorani; typing "Indira" will return articles on Indira Gandhi.
